As Payments & Fraud Specialist (f/m/x) you will be a vital part of our global Customer Operations Team and help us monitor online customer transactions, spot criminal trends and prevent them in the future. To fulfill this position, you can be based in London, remotely in other UK cities or in Hamburg, Germany. This role is a limited 12 months contract with a potential extension.

Your tasks

  • Monitor and investigate transactions via internal and external systems and identify suspicious/fraudulent activity
  • Undertake proactive analysis of transactional and customer data; identify patterns and trends and recommend improvements to the fraud prevention, verification and payment processing processes
  • Carry out and document detailed investigations and analysis of individual customer accounts 
  • Handle incoming chargebacks: analyse and defend disputes to reduce business cost
  • Compile and maintain case files, policies and process documents
  • Process and verify escalated customer identification documents and perform EDD checks
  • Support Customer Service team with queries arising on payments, fraud or verification topics
  • Provide monthly operational reporting and regular analysis on trends and chargeback levels

What you offer us

  • Experience in KYC (know your customer) and/or Fraud investigations
  • Strong German language skills
  • Ideally experience of data analysis in a high data volume business
  • Knowledge of the gaming industry would be a plus
