Your tasks

  • Develop, implement, and execute our people & culture strategy as an integral part of the overall business strategy
  • Foster a diverse and inclusive working environment and help us further develop our company culture
  • Spearhead a data-driven approach along the full employee lifecycle, from employer branding to alumni relations, to ensure we are hiring and retaining the best talent
  • Define and implement a Talent & Performance Management Strategy
  • Lead a team of People Professionals as well as our Office Management Team, developing the team members and embracing a KPI-based approach
  • Improve our internal HR processes to streamline, automate and digitalize as much as possible and to make our internal processes lightweight and efficient for everyone
  • Ensure employment law compliance as well as regulatory compliance of processes & procedures as part of being a listed company in a highly regulated market
  • Be a strong Sparring Partner to the Executive Committee (CEO, CFO, COO, CTO)
  • Be an inspiring, approachable and responsible leader across the organization to create positive change
  • The role is based in Hamburg, but occasional international travel is required

What you offer us

  • You have substantial management experience in a People & Culture Leadership role in agile and fast-paced environments, ideally with a track record in various HR roles
  • You have devised and implemented best practice HR policies and procedures. You strive for a data-inspired and state-of-the-art People department
  • Your business understanding is strong, preferably you would have working experience in the digital industry
  • You are result-driven with good judgment, analytical thinking, and decision-making skills 
  • You are comfortable working on strategic topics with senior leaders as well as rolling up your own sleeves to get things done
  • You are comfortable dealing with change. You love trying out new things. You have a “can-do” attitude, and a good sense of humor
  • You are happy to collaborate across all hierarchy levels, and can proficiently communicate with peers, key stakeholders and all of our international employee base
  • You can identify with our company values and act as a role model
  • You have good knowledge of labour law, preferably German labour law
  • You are fluent in English, our company language. Preferably, you are also fluent in German (the native language of the majority of our people and partners). Spanish wouldn’t hurt either, but is a nice to have
