Hamburg, July 15, 2022. The Eurojackpot today rose to € 117 million euros. This is the highest lottery jackpot in German history.
After there was no main winner in Friday night’s draw, the Eurojackpot now stands at € 117 million. The next draw will take place next Tuesday at 7 pm.
“The Eurojackpot can still go up to 120 million euros – if it is not hit on Tuesday!” explains Jonas Mattsson, CFO of LOTTO24 AG, the leading German provider of lotteries on the Internet. “There is a lot of excitement in our company. It was only in May that a LOTTO24 lottery team hit the then-highest Eurojackpot, winning a total of 110 million euros. Our employees are working flat out and keeping their fingers crossed for our LOTTO24 customers!”
Eurojackpot is a lottery in which a total of 18 European countries participate. Players first pick “5 out of 50” numbers and then “2 out of 12” Euro numbers. Since a product change in March of this year, the jackpot can rise up to 120 million euros – previously the limit was 90 million euros. The draw takes place every Tuesday and Friday evening in Helsinki, Finland. Participation is possible at LOTTO24 or Tipp24, among others.
