German Lotto now also Online on GMX and WEB.DE

Lotto24.de wins WEB.DE and GMX as cooperation partners

(Hamburg, 14 December 2012) Lotto24.de, the online lottery kiosk (www.lotto24.de), has gained WEB.DE and GMX as its new cooperation partners. From today on, visitors to the two Internet portals will be offered to buy their lottery tickets online.

The cooperation with WEB.DE and GMX is an important step for Lotto24.de in developing the re-opened German market for online lotteries with the aid of key communication channels, thereby securing market share.

Petra von Strombeck, CEO of Lotto24 AG, states: ‘We are really looking forward to the collaboration with our new partner. Part of our strategy is to offer technical services and marketing support for the operation of online lotteries to major Internet portals in Germany. WEB.DE and GMX will benefit from our lottery know-how, while we can increase our range. Getting one of the most important players on board right from the start is a major success for us.’

With the recent addition of North-Rhine Westphalia, Berlin and Brandenburg, customers in eleven German states can now take part in the state-run lottery (‘Lotto’) via the website www.lotto24.de and the cooperation sites http://lotto.web.de and http://lotto.gmx.net. Lotto24.de has already been active in the states Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, Hamburg, Hesse, Lower Saxony, Rhineland-Palatinate, Saxony and Schleswig-Holstein for some time via its own website. The remaining federal states are to be added as soon as possible.

It was only in late September that Lotto24 AG became one of the first private German companies to receive a permit for marketing state-run lotteries via the Internet. After an almost four-year online ban under the old State Treaty on Games of Chance, private brokers in Germany are now once again allowed to market state-run lotteries via the Internet.

Lotto24 AG (formerly Tipp24 Deutschland GmbH) was founded by Tipp24 SE in 2010 in order to resume the commercial online brokerage of games of chance in Germany. Following the successful spin-off from its parent company, Lotto24 AG has been listed as an independent company in the Prime Standard segment of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange since 3 July 2012. Lotto24 AG focuses on brokering state-licensed lottery products, such as ‘Lotto 6aus49’, ‘Spiel 77’, ‘Super 6’, ‘EuroJackpot’ and ‘Glücksspirale’ via the Internet (www.lotto24.de). Lotto24 AG enters into gaming contracts with the respective lottery companies on behalf of and in the name of the game participant. Lotto24 AG aims to become Germany’s leading online broker of lottery products.
