Lotto24 customers win over EUR 22 million in first half of 2016

Record winner was a 66-year-old man from Lower Saxony with almost EUR 10 million

Clever Bavarian chose same numbers four times for »Lotto 6aus49«

Already more than one million registered customers of Lotto24

Hamburg, 6 July 2016 – Customers of Lotto24, www.lotto24.de, Germany’s leading online provider of state-licensed lotteries, won over EUR 22 million in the first half of 2016. During the first six months, the company passed on total winnings of EUR 22.4 million (prior year: EUR 6.7 million) to its customers – without risk, as tickets can never get lost with online lotto. Via the Lotto24 online platform and its mobile apps, customers can take part in the German »Lotto 6aus49« lottery and the European »EuroJackpot«, amongst others.

At EUR 10.8 million, March was the month with the biggest winnings, followed by May with EUR 5.1 million. April had the lowest total winnings with EUR 1.0 million. The record winner was a 66-year-old pensioner from Lower Saxony who won the jackpot of EUR 9.7 million with six correct numbers and the super number in the »6aus49« lottery. In late April, a man from Rhineland-Palatinate won EUR 1.4 million – just eight days after registering with Lotto24. A 63-year-old man in Bavaria was particularly clever: he chose the same six numbers four times for a single draw and increased his share of the winnings from around EUR 118 thousand – like the other three winners received – to EUR 470 thousand.

With more than two major winners per month, Lotto24 helped 15 customers win untold fortunes in the first half of 2016: there were eight major wins for players of »Lotto 6aus49«, three each for »EuroJackpot« and »Super6« and one for »GlücksSpirale«.

Founded in 2012, the company continues to grow at a rapid pace: after reaching 730 thousand customers in June 2015, Lotto24 already reported its one-millionth customer in April 2016.
