LOTTO24 launches „Play with Friends“ Feature

Hamburg, 31 January 2023. From now on, LOTTO24 players can play the lottery together with friends, family, or work colleagues. With the latest “Play with friends” feature, anyone can set up a private lottery club and play together with others. The function can currently be used to participate in the Eurojackpot.

Play together, win together

In contrast to a basic lottery club, where players play together anonymously, a private lottery club is created and named by the players themselves. They can then invite their family, friends or work colleagues to join the lottery club. The principle: Each participant buys two Eurojackpot fields and selects the numbers themselves. The more participants there are in the lottery club, the more fields are played – and the greater the chances of winning. In the event of a win, the prize amount is automatically divided equally among all participants in the lottery club.

Joy shared is joy doubled

“Play with friends” simplifies joint lottery play for social groups, because both the stakes and the payment of any winnings are automatically modulated by LOTTO24. This means that players no longer have to worry about collecting stakes from fellow players or dividing up winnings fairly.  The only prerequisite for participation is that all players must currently be registered in the same federal state.

“Most games are based on a social principle – so why shouldn’t that also apply to the lottery game?” says Helmut Becker, CEO of ZEAL, holding company of Lotto24 AG. “For offline lottery, playing together with others is already common practice – but the organizational effort behind it is enormous for the players. With our ‘Play with Friends’ function, we want to adapt joint lottery play for the digital world and offer our target group even more benefits through the greatly simplified process. We are delighted to be able to make it easier for our customers to play the lottery together with their friends and family from now on.”
