Hamburg, 23 June 2016 – The Supervisory Board of Lotto24 AG, the leading online provider of state-licensed lotteries, has appointed Kai Hannemann, Chief Information Officer (CIO), as a member of the company’s Executive Board with effect from 1 July 2016. In this position, Kai Hannemann will head the departments IT Strategy, IT Systems, IT Processes and IT Operations. In addition, he will be responsible for the business field B2G (Business-to-Government) as well as Process and Innovation Management. Together with Kai Hannemann, the Executive Board comprises the Chief Executive Officer Petra von Strombeck and the Chief Financial Officer Magnus von Zitzewitz.
The 51-year-old native of Bremen, Germany, has over 25 years of experience in software development, planning, developing and implementing complex IT systems, as well as managing companies in the IT sector. After studying computer sciences at the University of Bremen, he specialized in IT for the tourist industry with a focus on flight systems. In his last position, he was Managing Director of Partner Solutions GmbH in Bremen before joining Lotto24 in February 2014. He has since set up the entire IT organisation and IT infrastructure, whose highly scalable technology guarantees further growth in user figures and the continuous expansion of the company’s product range.
