(Hamburg, 28 September 2015) On the back of very encouraging figures for the third quarter of 2015, Lotto24 AG is upgrading its guidance announcement of 20 May 2015 regarding growth in new customer figures and billings. Assuming external conditions remain unchanged, the company now forecasts at least 320,000 new customers in 2015 instead of the expected 284,000. As a result of this strong new customer growth, billings for 2015 are also expected to grow by more than 50% compared to the prior-year figure (EUR 82 million). The previous outlook assumed year-on-year billings growth of up to 50%.
The company continues to anticipate a slight increase in gross margin and a reduction in cost per lead (CPL) compared to the previous year. Due to the expansion of marketing activities because of large jackpots, however, Lotto24 AG expects EBIT and net profit for the current fiscal year to be on a par with the previous year, with a slight year-on-year reduction in marketing expenditure. The company had previously forecast a modest improvement in both earnings figures. At the same time, the company is continuing the insourcing of its strategically important IT division started in 2014 and is planning to complete it by 31 December at the latest. The company has set itself the target of securing and extending its position as Germany’s leading online provider of lottery products.
The interim report as of 30 September 2015 will be published on 12 November 2015.
