(Hamburg, 20 May 2015) Lotto24 AG recorded a significant increase in new customer growth as a result of a very favourable jackpot situation in recent weeks. Accordingly, Lotto24 AG adapts its forecast for the current fiscal year published on 20 January 2015 to the extent that, instead of a reduced growth, a strong new customer growth approximately at the level of the previous year (284 thousand) is now expected.
Moreover, Lotto24 expects a less significant reduction in marketing expenditure compared to the previous year following an increase of marketing activities in recent weeks, which was implemented in view of the fact that customer acquisition is more efficient in periods of high jackpots. Lotto24 AG nevertheless expects a decrease in the acquisition costs per customer (cost per lead, CPL)compared to the previous year.
Furthermore, Lotto24 AG continues to expect a strong increase in billings by up to 50 % and a slight year-on-year improvement in gross margin for its fiscal year 2015. Also, EBIT and net profit continue to be expected to be affected by lower losses than in the previous year while Lotto24 expects to retain its market leading position as an online provider of state lotteries in Germany.
The half-year financial report as of 30 June 2015 will be published on 13 August 2015.
